Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Validates prior-to-admission medication lists
Takes medication & allergy history from patients
Contacts outpatient entities for additional patient medication information
Communicates information to the health care team
Documents and corrects information in patient medication list in EPIC
Prepares all medications, including IV medications under pharmacist supervision
Completes expired medication inspections
Answers phones to assist in dispensing questions
Uses hospital information systems
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Current NJ registration (or eligible on hire)
Ability to register with the NJ Board of Pharmacy within first 10 days
Ability to complete registration with the NJ Board of Pharmacy within 180 days of hire
Preferred Qualifications
Hospital pharmacy experience
Pharmacy Technician National Certification (PTCB)
Completion of basic pharmaceutical calculations
