Description
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Surgical Technologist to join our operating room team. As a Surgical Tech, you will play a vital role in supporting surgeons and nurses during operative procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing instruments and equipment, and ensuring the surgical team has everything needed for a successful operation.

Key responsibilities include setting up surgical instruments and supplies, passing tools and materials to the surgeon during procedures, anticipating the surgical team s needs, and assisting with patient preparation and transport. You will also be responsible for maintaining surgical counts, ensuring infection control protocols are followed, and assisting with room turnover between cases.

This fast-paced, detail-driven role requires excellent focus, manual dexterity, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. You ll be part of a close-knit, collaborative team delivering critical care in high-stakes situations across a variety of specialties, including orthopedics, general surgery, and cardiovascular procedures.

Requirements and Qualifications:
Evenings (11a-11p) - 36 hours/week

Primary Experiential Needs include Ortho, Neuro, Transplant & Cardiac 

National Surgical Tech Certification Required, BLS/CPR required 

1-2 variable shifts possible per month.\r\n

1 Weekend (Sat/Sun) required per month\r\n

Call is scheduled in three categories PER MONTH: 

(1) Short Call, 

(2) Overnight, 

(3) Weekend\r\n\r\n

 

Facility is not accepting local candidates.\r\n\r\n

Active MA license required at time of submissions.\r\n

Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the six months.\r\n2025-2026 

Flu vaccine required at time of submission (declinations not accepted). If candidate does not have current flu vaccine, we will accept an attestation stating they will receive it prior to start.
