Job Description

Join DMC Detroit Receiving Hospital as a Radiologic Technologist and be part of a pioneering team in emergency medicine. You will perform diagnostic exams, ensure quality patient care, and contribute to process improvements in a dynamic, state-of-the-art environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic radiological exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment
Verify patient identity and review patient's medical record for appropriateness of exam
Interview patients to obtain and verify medical history
Explain procedures to patients, including risks and benefits
Set up equipment and acquire appropriate images
Review images and document exceptions from established protocols
Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
Provide physician-prescribed post care instructions
Participate in process improvement activities within radiology
Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees
Take call/standby as required

Required Qualifications

Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiography (R)
Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
