Join the ASPCA as a Lead Veterinarian to lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality veterinary care to underserved communities. You'll support both new and experienced veterinarians while ensuring the well-being of animals and outstanding client experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and monitor medicine and surgery at the ASPCA’s CVC
Train veterinarians in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter techniques
Support a positive work culture through regular feedback and recognition
Perform pre-surgery physical examinations and high-quality spay/neuter procedures
Provide preventive and basic care to patients in underserved areas
Schedule CM staff veterinarians for optimal coverage
Participate in veterinary medicine rounds and meetings
Required Qualifications
Current California State Veterinary License
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an AVMA accredited veterinary college
Minimum one year of experience in high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter
Minimum three years veterinary experience in small animal medicine and surgery
Fear Free® Shelter certification required within 60 days of hire
