Columbus Behavioral Center for Children and Adolescents is a 56-bed, private residential behavioral health facility located in Columbus, Indiana just 45 minutes south of Indianapolis . Set on 6.5 fully-fenced acres, our secure and therapeutic environment is designed to support the mental health needs of male and female youth ages 8 18 .

We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Director to lead our child and adolescent psychiatry services . This is a rewarding opportunity for a compassionate, experienced psychiatrist to make a lasting impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary care environment.

Position Highlights:

• Role: Medical Director, Child and Adolescent Residential Treatment Program
• Location: Full Time On-site, or hybrid with some tele-psychiatry: Columbus Behavioral Center, Columbus, Indiana
• Schedule: Full-time; Employed or Independent Contractor
• Treatment Settings: Residential and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) Programs
• Responsibilities Include:
• Leadership and oversight of psychiatric treatment services
• Supervision of staff PMHNPs
• Participation in clinical call rotation
• Collaboration with clinical and administrative teams
• Ensure compliance with UHS policies and healthcare regulations
• Contribute to the strategic planning and program development

Qualifications:

• Active Indiana medical license or eligibility to obtain
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified in Psychiatry ( Child & Adolescent Psychiatry preferred)
• 3 5 years of clinical psychiatric experience required
• Leadership experience in a psychiatric or behavioral health setting preferred
• Ability to supervise Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners (PMHNPs)
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
