Job Description

Join Piedmont Heart Institute as the System Advanced Heart Failure Medical Director and lead a dynamic team in delivering exceptional care for patients with heart failure. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape a comprehensive program dedicated to improving patient outcomes and advancing clinical research.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the System Heart Failure Practice by developing and implementing comprehensive care protocols
Monitor and assess the success of care protocols through key performance metrics
Provide recommendations to leadership on managing and budgeting the Advanced Heart Failure Program
Foster the growth of the Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology team through training and mentoring
Co-Chair the Heart Failure Center of Excellence activities
Oversee Heart Transplant/LVAD selection committee meetings
Lead initiatives to create and implement quality improvement programs
Collaborate with outreach to standardize HF therapies within and outside the system
Develop strategies to enhance Piedmont Heart's recognition in advanced heart failure

Required Qualifications

Experience delivering a comprehensive approach to Advanced Heart Failure, Transplant and MCS
Board-certified in Advanced Heart Failure Cardiology
Commitment to maintaining high standards of care across a large healthcare system
Dedication to innovation and research
