The Resident Care Director at Victoria Place leads clinical care and regulatory compliance to ensure optimal health and safety for residents. This role involves overseeing nursing staff, assessing resident needs, and maintaining communication with families, while fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding clinical care
Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends; develop and implement improvement plans
Partner with Administrator and team members to maintain health safety of residents and staff
Collaborate with pharmacy consultant for optimal services
Oversee clinical expertise of licensed nurses
Assess ongoing needs and services of residents
Update resident service plans as required by state regulations
Communicate with families regarding care or health changes
Schedule clinical staff monthly
Ensure availability of clinical supplies
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule
Required Qualifications
Current state license as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse
License must be in good standing
Minimum 1 year supervisory experience
Minimum 2 years geriatric experience
Competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up and triage
Leadership skills to inspire and motivate others
Preferred Qualifications
Prior assisted living, home health or long term care experience
