Key Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between Cooper providers and business operations, and insurance payors
Secure insurance authorizations and/or pre-certifications for patient services
Gather and submit necessary documentation for prior authorizations
Manage and document patient and payor phone calls
Register and schedule patients as needed
Answer high volume of inbound phone calls and make outbound calls
Maintain departmental quality and productivity standards
Required Qualifications
Minimum two years of general ambulatory office experience
Current New Jersey LPN License
BLS Certification (Healthcare Provider Course)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of electronic medical records
Preferred Qualifications
Clinical practice skills/skilled nursing experience
Working knowledge of medical insurance plans & products
Experience with securing prior authorizations from third-party payors
Proficiency in working with payor online portals
Experience in resolving peer-to-peer review requests
Proficiency in Epic
