Job Description
Join Cargill as an Electrical Technician Lead to work on advanced electrical systems and play a vital role in ensuring the productivity of our protein and salt operations. You will lead troubleshooting efforts, mentor technicians, and contribute to a sustainable future in food production.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot advanced electrical systems
PLC programming
Building and installing electrical control packages
Install, troubleshoot, and repair networking systems
Repair and troubleshoot production equipment
Read electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
Provide assistance/coverage to AE&I Technicians
Perform printer setups and editing for code dating products
Troubleshoot/calibrate scales
Coordinate on-the-job training for AE&I Technicians
Assist in directing daily activities of team
Document daily work assigned
Utilize MRO system
Ensure food safety and quality
Identify problems and suggest improvements
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Must be able to read and write in the prevalent language of technical literature utilized at the facility
Must have knowledge of hand and power tools, ability to identify proper tool for specific tasks
Ability to participate in HAZMAT membership, at minimum supporting role
Ability to work independently and with other technicians
Ability to work with little supervision
AutoCAD Electrical
Education in or willingness to complete courses in related fields
Preferred Qualifications
Previous industrial maintenance experience
Two year degree that relates to the maintenance field
Previous leadership experience
