We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join the team on a per diem basis for night shift coverage in Joliet, IL . The ideal candidate will be experienced in monitoring patients with cardiac conditions, interpreting telemetry, and delivering safe, efficient, and patient-centered care. This role is perfect for RNs looking for flexible hours while making an impact in a high-acuity telemetry setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients requiring cardiac monitoring
• Interpret and respond to telemetry/EKG rhythms and changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, monitor IVs, and perform bedside interventions per hospital protocols
• Communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams regarding patient status and care plans
• Document all care accurately and timely in the EMR
• Deliver patient and family education related to diagnosis, recovery, and discharge
• Float to other like-kind units as needed within scope of practice
• Participate in every other weekend and holiday rotation

Requirements:

• Active Illinois RN license (Required)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA – Required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent telemetry or stepdown experience (Preferred)
• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry interpretation
• Strong communication, time management, and critical thinking skills
• Flexibility to work night shifts and float to similar units as needed
