Shift: 3*12, 13 hour day shifts - Sunday, Wednesday, and Saturday; 6:30 am to 7:00 pm; variable shift might be required due to census.
Work Experience: - Must provide care appropriate to the condition and age of patients, including geriatric, pediatric and general population.
- Staff is responsible for the care and safety of patients and maintaining patient confidentially at all times.
- Staff is responsible for communicating the mission and vision of the hospital as well as developing effective working relationships with patients, physicians and path members.
- Performs procedures for MRI (using and building protocols)
- Screens patient for any contraindications pertaining to exam and to follow any necessary Safety requirements per ACR and facility protocols
- Interviews patient to explain magnetic resonance imaging procedures to address patient concerns and exhibits a high degree of tact, courtesy and poise when interacting with patients, staff, and visitors
- Educates patient on procedures and answer any questions
- Ensures patient and staff safety, including explaining safety protocol, requesting removal of hazardous metal objects, and alerting staff of danger or carrying metal around magnet
- Monitors patients at all times, visually and verbally
- Operates other equipment necessary for daily duties and patient care
- Maintains a clean and orderly environment for promoting good safety habits for patients and coworkers
- Maintains and reports on equipment status
- Helps monitor inventory
- Perform other related duties as necessary
- Must be Influenza vaccinated as required by the State of Maine unless a Medical Exemption is provided and approved by Employee Health.
Education: Associates Degree or Certificate from Two-year college, University, or Certificate based program.
License: Required Licensed/Certification/Registration: ARRT registered.
Certifications: BLS/CPR Certification.
