Join Lincoln Electric as a Control Systems Engineer, where you'll be a vital part of the Plant Engineering team, responsible for implementing projects and supporting the Consumable division, enhancing manufacturing capabilities through advanced control systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for control systems including hardware design, software design, design documentation, networking, and data acquisition
  • Work closely with Plant Engineering, MES, IT, Maintenance, and Production teams
  • Collaborate with Operations teams for continuous improvement projects
  • Estimate time and cost for new projects
  • Review capital equipment proposals and quotations
  • Provide on-site assistance troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
  • Reduce downtime on production equipment
  • Support network backup and device patching management
  • Assist in management and inventory of control system assets
  • Improve system and maintenance performance
  • Review security vulnerabilities and request remediation
  • Compile data from connected devices for organizational use
  • Develop and apply standards for control systems hardware and software
  • Solve complex problems and take new perspectives
  • Work independently with minimal guidance
  • Lead projects or project steps within broader projects
  • Act as a resource for less experienced colleagues
  • Assume additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years professional experience
  • Experience with automation hardware and software platforms, including PLC and HMI
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, 70E, NFPA 79, and other technical codes
  • Ability to support and troubleshoot industrial equipment
  • Critical thinking with exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle a variety of assignments and changing priorities
  • Work effectively with employees on all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and oral communications
