Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you will evaluate and treat patients to improve their speech and language functions. Contribute to patient education and interdisciplinary approaches while potentially covering multiple sites.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms, activity level, and medical status
Treats patients using appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients/families on home exercise programs and functional activities
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance with insurance guidelines
Seeks and fosters interdepartmental communication regarding patient care
Fills out and submits charges daily
Adheres to professional code of ethics at all times
Performs duties with proper body mechanics and safety
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Attends continuing education courses to improve treatment techniques
Participates in departmental or community in-services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
