Join Southern Joint Surgery Center as a PACU RN and contribute to a caring and supportive environment for patients post-surgery. You'll ensure safe and effective nursing care while working with a dedicated team in a rewarding clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare patients' care area and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are provided
Demonstrate proper airway management techniques
Monitor patients according to policy (vital signs, temperature, cardiac, etc.)
Exhibit proper technique for insertion, maintenance, and removal of IV catheters and saline locks
Perform and document head to toe evaluation of patients utilizing approved scoring system
Check dressings and/or operative site of patients and report abnormalities
Provide a safe and comforting environment for patients and families
Ensure patients meet discharge criteria
Required Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing
1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
Active RN license as required by state of employment
BCLS Certification upon employment
ACLS required within 30-days of hire
PALS if required by facility within 30-days of hire
