Key Responsibilities
Provide educational leadership to direct care providers
Assess the quality of care for specific patient populations
Coordinate and implement orientation of nursing staff
Collaborate to develop individualized orientation programs
Plan and implement annual competencies
Monitor trends and implement educational strategies
Act as an expert resource for decision-making
Participate in teaching and coaching of staff and students
Utilize evidence-based practice in clinical procedures
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Connecticut
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited University
Minimum of five years of progressive experience in clinical practice, nursing education, and/or nursing management in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing
Basic certification in Education/Critical Care Nursing
