Job Title: RN OR
Job Requirements:
- Provide perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, sterile equipment, and necessary supplies according to the type of surgery.
- Verify patient identity, allergies, surgical consent, and preoperative preparation before procedures.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during operations by anticipating needs, managing instruments, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor and document vital signs, anesthesia response, and overall patient status throughout the procedure.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques, infection control protocols, and safety standards.
- Provide postoperative care, including patient assessment, pain management, and wound observation in the recovery area.
- Communicate effectively with the surgical team and other healthcare staff to ensure coordinated and efficient care.
- Handle and document all surgical specimens accurately for laboratory processing.
- Participate in ongoing education, training, and quality improvement initiatives to stay current with surgical best practices and technologies.
