Job Description

Join Optum as a Front Office Representative and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care. You'll handle administrative tasks, assist patients with registration, and work in a dynamic clinical environment while receiving continuous support and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide patient-oriented service in a clinical or front office setting
  • Perform clerical and administrative duties related to patient care delivery
  • Communicate with patients and families to complete registration processes
  • Utilize computer systems for patient data entry and verification
  • Collect patient co-pays and discuss financial obligations
  • Generate and analyze patient data reports
  • Maintain knowledge of registration requirements across various departments

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in a hospital, office, customer service, or phone support setting
  • Ability to work on a Per Diem basis with irregular shifts
  • Influenza vaccination commitment
  • Basic mathematics for financial payments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products
  • Experience in a Hospital Patient Registration Department or any medical setting
  • Experience in insurance reimbursement and financial verification
  • Understanding of insurance policies and procedures
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology
