Job Description
Join Sevita as a Licensed Practical Nurse and make a meaningful impact by providing nursing services to individuals with developmental disabilities. You'll work in a dynamic environment, offering essential care and support while enjoying a variety of schedules and a supportive team.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor health conditions of individuals served and ensure quality services
Administer medications and oversee staff members who administer medications
Provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services
Conduct assessments and implement health care services in Individual Service Plans
Provide training to staff on universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration
Serve as liaison and advocate with other medical and professional service providers
Provide training for individuals on self-medication and health education topics
Required Qualifications
Associates Degree in Nursing or related field, or graduate of an accredited LPN program
One year of experience in a nursing capacity with the population served
Current state LPN or LVN License
Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance
Additional certifications as required by state licensing regulations (e.g., CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, ACT training)
Effective communication skills
