Join ECHN as a Per Diem Speech Language Pathologist, where you'll evaluate and treat patients to restore their speech and language functions. Work collaboratively in an interdisciplinary environment while educating patients and families on effective strategies for recovery.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluates patients based on departmental standards
Conducts and modifies evaluations based on patient symptoms and medical status
Treats patients using appropriate therapeutic techniques
Administers physical agents and manual therapeutic techniques
Educates patients and families in home exercise programs
Determines when a patient has achieved maximal benefit from treatment
Documents in accordance to insurance guidelines
Communicates with referring physicians regarding patient care
Submits daily charges accurately
Adheres to professional code of ethics
Supervises at least one affiliated student per year
Attends continuing education courses to improve treatment techniques
Participates in departmental or community in-services
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited program of Speech Language Pathology with a minimum of a M.S.
Holds current Connecticut license for Speech Language Pathology
Certificate of Clinical Competency from the American Speech Language and Hearing Association
Preferred Qualifications
Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written
Basic personal computer skills in Windows programs such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
Access to reliable transportation for travel between multiple work sites
