Key Responsibilities
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans
Create a welcoming and engaging classroom environment
Observe and assess children's development
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
Follow state child care regulations and policies
Serve as a mandated reporter for suspected child abuse or neglect
Greet and interact with parents/guardians
Collaborate with the Childcare Supervisor and Manager
Lead parent-teacher meetings biannually
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate or Vermont Career Ladder III
Minimum 1 year of experience in a childcare setting
Must meet Vermont state qualifications for Lead Teacher
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
21 College credits in a related field
First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire)
