A level III NICU is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage.

The facility is located in Thousand Oaks, California.

This position consists of 24-hour shifts with hospitalists providing GYN coverage and performing circumcisions. First assist is not required, but available if needed. Hospitalists will back up midwives and family practice providers, with backup also available for the hospitalists. The facility averages 141 total hospital deliveries per month, with hospitalists handling around 13 of those. Monthly averages include 93 non-delivery patient encounters and 113 procedures performed by hospitalists. Maternal-fetal medicine is available on-call, anesthesia is in-house from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and a residency program is planned. The facility also has a strong doula presence.
