Job Description

Join Lincoln Electric as a Designer/Drafter and support the Plant Engineering team by implementing capital projects and providing engineering assistance. You will engage in 3D modeling and 2D drafting, collaborating with various departments to enhance efficiency and design accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Plant Engineers and other departments with 3D models, detail manufacturing drafts, and facility layout drawings
  • Reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings
  • Create, modify, curate, and store electronic files using document management systems
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of templates and schematics
  • Maintain mechanical CAD procedures and standards
  • Support internal and external fabrication through the creation of supporting files
  • Document existing production and facility support equipment
  • Assumes additional responsibilities as needed

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of a High School Education or GED
  • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in design and drafting
  • Technically proficient in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD
  • Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM) using Autodesk Vault or Siemens TeamCenter
  • Experience with the use of measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
  • Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft software applications
  • Highly motivated to quickly learn 3D CAD drafting and detail print making skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Self-motivated with a high level of ownership
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposed to machine shop or metal manufacturing processes
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to propose innovative solutions
