Job Description
Join the ARC as a Veterinarian, Medical Director, where you'll lead a dedicated team in providing compassionate veterinary care to animals rescued from cruelty and neglect. This role involves managing medical cases, overseeing staff, and ensuring high-quality care in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities
Manage high-quality individualized veterinary care for at-risk animals
Perform humane euthanasia when necessary
Oversee daily medical care and case flow of animals
Lead team meetings and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff
Required Qualifications
DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine)
3+ years in general practice, specialty, or shelter setting
Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Ability to work standing for 8 or more hours
Preferred Qualifications
Fear Free certification within 6 months of hire date
Previous experience in shelters
