Job Description
As a Navy Chaplain, you will support and uplift Sailors and Marines, providing spiritual guidance through worship and counseling. With opportunities for both full-time and part-time service, you will play a vital role in enhancing the morale and well-being of service members, while also enjoying comprehensive benefits and educational opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct worship services in various settings
Perform religious rites and ceremonies such as weddings, funerals, and baptisms
Counsel individuals seeking guidance
Oversee religious education programs
Visit and provide spiritual guidance to hospitalized personnel and their families
Train lay leaders for religious education programs
Promote attendance at religious services and retreats
Advise leaders on morale, ethics, and spiritual well-being
Required Qualifications
U.S. citizen or equivalent
Graduate degree in theological or related studies from an accredited educational institution
Two years of full-time religious leadership experience
Ability to obtain an Ecclesiastical Endorsement from a religious faith organization registered with the Department of Defense
