ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state
• Certifications: ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, BLS (AHA), NIHSS, MOAB (CPI or MOAB accepted; must obtain during onboarding if not already certified)
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• Completed nursing skills checklist within 1 year of submission
• License verification and copies of required certifications
• One supervisory reference from the last 2 years
• Proof of taxable address (driver’s license, utility bill, lease/rental agreement, etc.)

Emergency Room Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting
• Assess, triage, and manage emergency situations efficiently
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR
• Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
• Maintain compliance with all required nursing certifications and hospital policies
