Job Description
Lincoln Electric seeks an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer to enhance manufacturing processes and equipment at its Cleveland and Mentor facilities. This role focuses on solving technical challenges and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards while contributing to sustainable operations.
Key Responsibilities
Execute capital projects for manufacturing facilities
Manage mechanical aspects of projects including design and documentation
Develop engineering solutions for equipment reliability and safety
Create and maintain documentation for engineering and maintenance teams
Design solutions that comply with ISO 14001 and EHS initiatives
Provide capital cost estimates and project timelines
Deliver technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
Coordinate with process engineering, production, and maintenance teams
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Strong desire to take ownership of tasks
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good judgment and self-motivation
Commitment to safety
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks
Flexibility to handle diverse assignments
Ability to perform hands-on work
Technically proficient in CAD modeling
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Solid Edge
Experience with AutoCAD
Willingness to occasionally work off shifts
Ability to travel between facilities in Northeast Ohio
