Job Description & Requirements PICU RN
Cleveland, OH
Pay: $52/hr ($1872/week)
Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (36 hours/week)
The PICU RN role is located in a 12-bed state-of-the-art unit, opened in November 2023. This unit specializes in caring for pediatric cardiac patients requiring both intensive and intermediate care. Patients typically remain in the unit until discharge, allowing for comprehensive and consistent family-centered care. Ratios are typically 1:1 or 2:1 for ICU care and 3:1 for intermediate care.
PICU RN Key Responsibilities:
Provide immediate post-operative cardiac patient care
Administer and monitor inotropic medications
Manage mediastinal chest tubes, central lines, and arterial lines
Deliver neonatal and advanced airway care, including ventilator management
Support patients post-cardiac catheterization procedures
Foster family-centered care throughout treatment and recovery
PICU RN Requirements:
Strong critical thinking and ICU skillset
Experience with immediate post-operative cardiac patient care
Proficiency with advanced cardiac monitoring and interventions
Ability to manage neonatal patients and pediatric critical care needs
EPIC EMR experience preferred
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Certification
