Job Description

Lincoln Electric seeks a Plant Engineer to design, maintain, and improve manufacturing processes and plant infrastructure. This role involves solving technical challenges and ensuring safety and productivity standards, contributing to the sustainability and growth of operations in the Cleveland and Mentor areas.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to execute capital projects for manufacturing facilities
  • Take responsibility for mechanical aspects of projects
  • Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety
  • Create and maintain documentation for engineering and maintenance teams
  • Design solutions compliant with ISO 14001 and EHS initiatives
  • Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines
  • Specify and solicit equipment quotations
  • Deliver technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
  • Coordinate with process engineering, production, and maintenance teams
  • Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
  • Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of experience for level II Engineer
  • Minimum 5 years of experience for level III Engineer
  • Minimum 7 years of experience for level IV Engineer
  • Strong desire to take ownership of tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Demonstrates good judgment and self-motivation
  • Commitment to safety
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Flexibility to handle diverse assignments
  • Ability to perform hands-on work when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technically proficient in CAD modeling
  • Preferred systems: Solid Edge; AutoCAD
  • Willingness to occasionally work off shifts
  • Ability to travel between facilities as required
