Position Overview

The Senior Application Analyst Benefits Engine & Resolute Contracts supports the mission of OCHIN though complex configurations to support the Epic applications within the Epic electronic health record (EHR) software for our members. This role consults with members and internal staff to provide solutions that offer accurate, secure, and efficient workflows, with a focus on quality outcomes for our member organizations and resides on our Epic Enhancements team.


Essential Duties

  • Continually improves the quality of the OCHIN Epic collaborative by identifying areas of opportunity within assigned application(s) and integrated areas to strengthen approaches, standards, and patterns.
  • Build, test, implement, and maintain complex contracts within Epic Contract Maintenance for utilization in expected reimbursement calculations across the system.
  • Stays informed of industry, new technologies, and best practices to maintain a deep understanding of applications and systems
  • Actively participates in the product and project lifecycle and may lead various actions and production of deliverables, including but not limited to proposals, scoping, design, etc.
  • Provides technical mentorship and support to other members of the OCHIN workforce
  • Performs complex build, development, and testing of new and existing features, functionality, integrations, and reporting solutions for assigned applications and integrated areas in the Epic platform
  • Leads working sessions within the OCHIN workforce and with members, focused on identifying problems and designing solutions that meet our members' needs while remaining aligned with OCHIN strategies and best practices
  • Provides expert-level support for member issues and escalations, which may include collaborating and partnering with members directly and with various individuals across the OCHIN workforce
  • Supports OCHIN's strategic business plan, including identifying risk factors and mitigation solutions
  • Follows OCHIN processes, which include Design Reviews and Change Control
  • Creates and maintains technical documentation
  • Contributes to continual improvement within OCHIN by participating in lessons learned and process improvements
  • Works independently, prioritizes and manages assignments, remains focused in the face of pressure, delivers against timelines, seeks to overcome obstacles or barriers, and proactively escalates risks and issues.
  • Lead and mentor other analysts on complex interdepartmental project work.
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent relevant combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in similar or relevant role.
  • Minimum of 2 applicable certifications/proficiencies is preferred with preference given to Resolute Hospital Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts Administration, Resolute Professional Billing Expected Reimbursement Contracts Administration, Benefits Engine Badge.
  • Work history in Healthcare IT is required.
  • Epic Contracts Management and System Application Build is required.
  • Strong understanding of Epic HB workflows, analytics and technology.
  • Experience with business operations workflow in a healthcare environment including payor relations, admissions, billing, and accounts receivable.
  • Experience with building system application packages and moving through multiple environments.
  • Strong understanding of payor reimbursement methodologies (DRG, CPT, OPPS, IPPS, IRF, APC, PDPM)
  • Strong understanding of payor contracts and HB revenue cycle functions for various facility types including Acute, Critical Access, Sole Community, Home Health, Hospice, Skilled Nursing, Behavioral, and Physical Therapy.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication skills - able to communicate with both application and technical team members, as well as end users.
  • Consistently acts with integrity and accountability.
  • Process and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data-driven decision making.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and solution oriented.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.


Base Pay Overview

The typical offer range for this role is minimum to midpoint, with the midpoint representing the average pay in a national market scope for this position. Please note that HB Analyst roles come in at the higher end of the pay band. Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will consider a wide range of factors directly relevant to this position, including, but not limited to, skills, knowledge, training, responsibility, and experience, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.


COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.
