Job Description
Join the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy as the Assistant Director of Communications. In this role, you'll develop public relations strategies and promote a positive image for the University while collaborating with various stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Develop publicity and earned media strategies for the University
Create and implement a PR plan, including pitches and budgets
Lead and implement crisis communication strategy
Provide media training to University leadership and staff
Analyze media coverage and provide reports as needed
Collaborate on official communications for the Office of the President
Develop communications for internal University audiences
Support content creation for various communications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications or similar field
6+ years of experience leading communications or public relations projects
Extensive experience dealing with media contacts and community partners
Experience managing and communicating during crisis incidents
Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to understand information systems across University functions
Strategic and tactical thinking skills
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed
