About the Role

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse to join a leading healthcare system in Neptune, New Jersey on a 13-week contract. The ideal candidate is skilled in managing complex cardiovascular cases, highly proficient in telemetry and critical interventions, and committed to delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and assess patient needs, prioritizing and planning nursing care
• Assist physicians and support clinical decision-making
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care
• Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage critical care patients
• Initiate assessments based on patient conditions and physician orders
• Document all care according to clinical standards and patient acuity
• Advocate for evidence-based care and professional nursing practices
• Provide compassionate, patient-focused care
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Education

• ASN required
• BSN preferred

Licensure & Certifications

• Active NJ RN license or compact RN license
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• NIHSS
• 4-hour Stroke CEU
• Telemetry certification

Experience

• 2+ years CVICU experience required
• Strong experience in telemetry, step-down/surgical, thoracic & vascular step-down
• LVAD competency
