ICU RN Qualifications & Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU RN experience with Neonatal ICU (NICU) exposure
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Recent acute, in-hospital nursing experience preferred
• Ability to pass clinical competency exams and screenings
• Compliance with onboarding health and professional documentation (immunizations, drug screening, background check)

ICU RN – NICU Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to critically ill neonates in the NICU
• Monitor, assess, and document patient status and progress
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and specialized procedures as needed
• Educate and support families throughout the NICU stay
• Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and hospital policies
