Special Education Teacher
As a Special Education Teacher, you’ll provide tailored instruction to K–12 students with diverse learning needs, supporting their IEP goals in inclusive classroom settings. Working across multiple schools, you’ll build strong relationships, gain valuable experience, and make a lasting impact—on a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend hours.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in various settings, including inclusive classrooms, resource rooms, and one-on-one sessions.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to adapt and modify curriculum and instruction to meet students' needs.
- Monitor and assess students' progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies and resources to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding students' progress, goals, and needs.
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings.
- Stay current with best practices in special education through professional development and continuing education opportunities.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelors of Special Education
- Special Education teaching certification, Arizona
- Applicants must have professional proficiency in English
- US Work Authorization as Zen Educate is unable to sponsor any employment visa or relocation assistance at this time.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay: $40 - $50 per hour, paid weekly.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, within hours of 7:30 am - 3:00/4:30 pm (no weekend work).
