Key Responsibilities
Oversee behavioral care and pathway planning for animals at ARC and CARE
Manage a team of nine behavior experts
Ensure high quality, low stress patient care
Lead research projects related to animal behavior
Collaborate with various teams for holistic animal care
Required Qualifications
3+ years’ experience in people management
Master’s or PhD degree in animal Behavior or related discipline for non-veterinarian candidates
DVM degree for veterinary behaviorist candidates
Experience in high-volume, fast-paced environments
Ability to work well within a team
Comfort with humane euthanasia decisions
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in shelters
Interest in developing/overseeing research projects
Interest in writing scientific publications
