As a Preventive Medicine Officer in the U.S. Army, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the health and well-being of Soldiers and their families. Key Responsibilities
Prevent disease and injury among Soldiers and their families
Establish and direct physical medicine and rehabilitation programs
Train and mentor other medical personnel
Lead Force Health Protection efforts
Direct and oversee public health core functions: assessment, policy development, and assurance
Required Qualifications
Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school
Current license to practice medicine in the U.S., District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico
Eligibility for board certification
Completion of at least one year of approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
Completion of a training program in preventive medicine
U.S. citizenship for Active Duty or permanent U.S. residency for Army Reserve
