Key Responsibilities
Service and repair garbage trucks and trailers
Perform assigned repairs and preventative maintenance tasks on the fleet
Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software
Use laptop and chassis diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
Effectively communicate with drivers regarding service schedules and repairs
Perform MIG welding tasks as needed
Keep the shop clean and organized
Conduct regular equipment safety checks
Review and address repairs on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR)
Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years of experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
Basic tool set and toolbox
Proficient in basic computer skills
Experience with diagnostic software and laptops
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with diesel diagnostic software such as Cummins INSITE, Davie-4, Allison DOC, and Detroit Diesel Diagnostic Software
Class B CDL
Welding experience
