Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Maintain ammonia refrigeration system and conduct chemical testing and treatment of evaporative condenser water
Perform daily monitoring of the system through walkarounds and trend graphs
Optimize ammonia operations using the Logix system
Oversee training for Maintenance techs
Write and review task procedures, PMs and SOPs for equipment operation
Support PSM compliance audits
Maintain plant equipment and hold a PIT license
Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical problems
Promote quality and yield improvements with supervisors
Complete scheduled daily work
Assist in wastewater operation as needed
Work on air compressor systems and HVAC equipment
Complete documentation related to Work Orders and PSM Elements
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Understanding of Anhydrous Ammonia Refrigeration systems
Ammonia Refrigeration Systems Certification – Operator Level 1
Able to wear a full face breathing respirator mask
Willing to be a part of the Hazmat team
At least 3 years industrial maintenance experience
Strong electrical & mechanical aptitude
Ability to read & interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
Ability to read & interpret detail blueprints, P&IDs, single-lines, ladder logic and wiring schematics
Strong personal safety philosophy
Ability to understand and learn Evaporative Condenser water chemistry
Able to work weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Computer literacy and eagerness to learn SAP/PPE systems
Maintenance experience in a food processing environment
Understanding of waste water system
HVAC System Experience
Boiler Experience
Compressed Air Systems Operating Experience
Ability to effectively use test and calibration equipment
Ability to troubleshoot 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls, 120 VAC and 24VDC control circuits
