Facility: Springfield Hospital – Emergency Department
Location: 25 Ridgewood Road, Springfield, VT
Licensure: Vermont RN License (Active at time of submission)
Certifications Required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC (AHA) – All must be in hand at submission; no exceptions.

Job Summary

Springfield Hospital’s Emergency Department is a 24/7 facility serving approximately 14,000 patient visits per year . The ED is fully staffed around the clock, providing comprehensive emergency care to a wide range of patients. Upon arrival, patients are triaged by an RN to determine severity and appropriate treatment pathway.

 

Scheduling & RTO Policies

  • Holiday RTO is not available – reserved for permanent staff.
  • Block scheduling will not be approved.
  • All scheduling and RTO requests must be submitted at the time of profile upload.
    • Any RTO or scheduling requests made after offer may result in a rescinded offer .
    • Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted (less is preferred).

Local travelers residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment.

Submission Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of current ED experience in a hospital setting — Required
  • Minimum 3 months of prior travel experience Preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Traveler must have their own vehicle
  • Permanent/taxable address must be listed on the profile
  • All certifications must be active at time of submission – facility will not pend

Profile Requirements

  • Current and complete work history
  • Skills checklist (pertinent to ED, dated within 1 year)
  • 1 signed supervisory reference (from within past 2 years)
  • License and certifications uploaded with profile (Nursys verification, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC)
