ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a travel nursing job in State College, Pennsylvania.
RN Position Job Notes:
Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details:
• Provide professional perioperative nursing care based on Association of Operating Room Nurses (AORN) Standards and Recommended Practice
• Care for patients from pediatric through geriatric age population in holding area, operative suite, and post-operative settings
• Develop and implement individualized plans of care through ongoing patient assessment
• Ensure sterile field maintenance and proper aseptic technique throughout surgical procedures
• Monitor and respond to physiological changes during operative procedures
• Manage surgical specimens, cultures, and foreign bodies according to established protocols
• Provide preoperative patient and family education regarding surgical nursing functions
• Document patient interactions and care plan modifications appropriately
• Function as team member and liaison between patients and staff
• Minimum 2 years prior Operating Room experience required
• Completion of accredited registered nurse program required; BSN preferred
• Must participate in 6-month in-house Operating Room course upon hire
• Pennsylvania RN license required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required with renewal every two years
• Strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills essential
• Must demonstrate mental and emotional tolerance when working with patients, families, and staff
