Job Description
Join Interstate Waste Services as a Diesel Mechanic, where you will inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy-duty diesel trucks and engines. With a focus on safety and quality, you'll be part of a progressive company committed to customer service and employee satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Perform inspection, diagnosis, and preventative maintenance
Repair electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake, and air systems
Utilize diagnostic software to interpret failure modes
Assist with emergency breakdowns as needed
Required Qualifications
At least 18 years of age
Legally eligible to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred)
Experience working on heavy duty diesel equipment or training from a recognized trade school
Ability to speak and read English effectively
Meet physical and safety requirements
Provide own tools
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years experience as a heavy duty Diesel Mechanic
Experience with troubleshooting/repairing DPF systems
Familiarity with diagnostic software (e.g., Premium Tech Tool)
Knowledge of DOT and OSHA standards and regulations
