Job Description
The Lead Cleaner provides direction and motivation to a team of cleaners, ensuring high-quality cleaning and maintenance of facilities. This position is ideal for individuals entering the workforce or returning after a break, with no prior experience required.
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership and direction to team members
Relay communication between team members, clients, customers, and management
Report performance issues to the Supervisor
Assist with the training of cleaning team
Coordinate work assignments
Assist with making daily and weekly work schedules
Oversee and perform cleaning operations in assigned building
Manage security of keys and access cards for the property
Report work orders for maintenance
Ensure premises are secured at all times
Work with Manager to schedule jobs with Property Manager and cleaning crew
Oversee quality of jobs and confirm completion with Manager
Provide training to all new hires assigned to the building
Check supplies, equipment, and chemicals weekly
Complete order forms completely and accurately
Coordinate equipment usage and inventories
Clean and maintain buildings/facilities
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment
Notify Manager concerning the need for repairs or additions
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships
Comply with all safety, security, compliance, and quality standards
Clean and dust furniture, fixtures, floors, ceilings, and equipment
Move cabinets and furniture to clean areas
Clean interior glass, windows, and mirrors
Wash and replace blinds
Gather and empty trash
Sweep walks, rake leaves, cut grass, or remove snow
Wipe and clean tabletops, chairs, and equipment in food areas
