**Job Title:** Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)
**Shift:** 19:00 - 07:00, rotating bi-weekly orientation
**Location:** Wilson, NC
**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a dedicated Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position requires a compassionate and skilled individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in an emergency department setting.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
- Respond to emergencies and assess patients’ conditions promptly
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive patient care
- Monitor vital signs and document patient information in electronic health records (EHR)
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions and post-treatment care
**Qualifications:**
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the Emergency Department
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS
- Proficient in using Meditech EHR system (preferred)
- Strong interpersonal skills: Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing or higher
**Unit Information:**
- Emergency Department with 26 beds
- Patient Ratios: 1:4-5 (flexible based on acuity)
- Common diagnoses: Respiratory Distress, Overdose, Congestive Heart Failure (CHF), Dialysis, Hypertension (HTN)
**Work Schedule:**
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Every other weekend required
- Call requirements: None
