Job Description
Join Geisinger as a Per Diem Certified Medical Assistant, where you'll provide essential patient care and support in a dynamic outpatient setting, playing a vital role in patient health and safety.
Key Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care and clinical support for physicians and other providers
Documents patient information using electronic medical records
Assists patients in preparing for visits with providers
Performs clinical duties such as EKGs and wound dressings
Collects and prepares laboratory specimens
Facilitates timely appointments and completes referrals
Performs receptionist and clerical duties to support patient care
Required Qualifications
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
Graduate of an accredited 1-year certificate or 2-year diploma Medical Assistant program
Basic Life Support Certification within 6 months
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year related work experience
Graduate from Specialty Training Program
