Job Description

Join Barnabas Health Medical Group as a Patient Services Representative, where you'll enhance patient satisfaction and operational efficiency. Your role includes managing patient visits, scheduling appointments, and performing clerical tasks, all while promoting a positive experience and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform patient check-in and check-out functions
  • Answer routine questions in person and over the telephone
  • Perform basic clerical functions such as copying, scanning, faxing, sorting, and distributing mail
  • Create and maintain health record information
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and handle pre-authorizations and certifications

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Relevant experience and/or training
  • Understanding of patient satisfaction and safety
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Attention to accuracy and detail
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor's degree
  • Previous medical receptionist experience
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and EMR systems
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
