Job Description
Lincoln Electric seeks an experienced Mechanical Plant Engineer to enhance its manufacturing facilities in Cleveland and Mentor. This role involves solving technical challenges and improving equipment reliability while ensuring safety and productivity standards. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate in a team environment to execute capital projects
Manage mechanical aspects of projects including design and documentation
Develop engineering solutions to improve equipment reliability and safety
Create and maintain sustainable documentation for engineering and maintenance teams
Design solutions that comply with ISO 14001 and EHS initiatives
Provide capital cost estimates and establish project timelines
Specify and solicit equipment quotations
Deliver technical support to Production and Maintenance departments
Coordinate with process engineering and supply management teams
Manage outside engineering and construction personnel
Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Assume additional responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum of 3 years of experience
Strong desire to take ownership of tasks and deliver results
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Good judgment and self-motivation
Commitment to safety
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Flexibility to handle diverse assignments
Hands-on work capability
Technically proficient in CAD modeling (Solid Edge, AutoCAD preferred)
Willingness to occasionally work off shifts and travel
