Job Description

Key Responsibilities
Analyze and apply denials to third party carriers
Comply with departmental Business Rules and Standard Operating Procedures
Decrease Accounts Receivable and increase cash
Interpret explanation of benefits for follow-up action
Utilize automation tools to verify eligibility and claim status
Create worklists and analyze trends for claims resolution
Review and research denied claims
Communicate with members or providers about claims issues
Conduct data entry for claims adjudication
Meet performance goals for efficiency and accuracy
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Must be 18 years of age or older
1+ years of experience in Billing or healthcare industry
Ability to use computer and Windows PC applications
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work onsite at least 2 days per week
Ability to work normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm
Preferred Qualifications
Medical terminology acumen
Previous experience with medical claims processing
