Job Description

As an Inventory Planner at Sysco, you will play a crucial role in managing inventory levels, ensuring exemplary customer service, and optimizing supply chain efficiencies. Your expertise in inventory management will contribute to achieving company goals while collaborating with various teams and utilizing advanced inventory systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory levels while maximizing customer service levels
  • Manage Inventory DSO, aged inventory, obsolete inventory, spoilage, and shrink
  • Collaborate with merchandising teams and suppliers
  • Utilize the Manhattan inventory planning tool Demand Planning Replenishment (DPR)
  • Maximize supply chain efficiencies with logistics team
  • Manage Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) count and resolve replenishment issues
  • Execute purchasing of new items and ensure timely system setup
  • Understand seasonal trends and commodity purchasing dynamics

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • 3+ years of experience in Inventory Management/Purchasing
  • Experience in a retail, wholesale or distribution environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Inventory Management/Purchasing experience in distributor with 10,000+ SKUs
  • Proficient Excel skills
