Lincoln Electric is seeking a Designer/Drafter to support the Plant Engineering team with capital projects and engineering support. The role focuses on 3D modeling and 2D drafting, requiring collaboration and independent design development.
Key Responsibilities
Support Plant Engineers with creation/modification of 3D models and facility layout drawings
Reverse engineer components from physical parts or legacy drawings
Create and store electronic files using document management systems
Assist in the development and maintenance of templates and schematics
Maintain mechanical CAD procedures and standards
Support internal and external fabrication by creating supporting files
Document existing production and facility support equipment
Assume additional responsibilities as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a High School Education or GED
Minimum of 3 years professional experience in design and drafting
Technically proficient in Solid Edge, SolidWorks, Catia, or NX
Familiarity with AutoCAD
Experience with data management systems (PDM/PLM)
Experience with measurement tools such as micrometers and calipers
Basic computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft software applications
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Autodesk Vault or Siemens TeamCenter
Exposed to machine shop or metal manufacturing processes
Highly motivated to quickly learn 3D CAD drafting
Organized and detail oriented
Self-motivated with a high level of ownership
Capable of working independently and as part of a team
