Job Description

Join Mercy as a NICU Associate where you'll provide compassionate care to newborns and support their families. You'll work closely with a dedicated team, performing essential clerical and patient care duties in a dynamic and impactful environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides direct and indirect patient care under RN supervision
  • Performs clerical and billing functions for the department
  • Acts as a receptionist for the Nursing Unit
  • Updates and retrieves information from the hospital computer system
  • Manages inventory and supplies
  • Interacts with patient families and staff

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a pressured environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Ability to function effectively with newborns and new parents
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent work attendance and dependability

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous nurse assistant or other patient contact experience
  • Strong familiarity with medical documentation and terminology
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card
