Eligibility & Compliance - Travel Distance: Must live >75 miles from the facility (local travelers not accepted)
- RTO Restrictions: No more than 5 days off during contract; no holiday RTO
Experience & Skills Required - Experience: Minimum 2 years OR experience (neuro, ortho, robotics, liver transplant cases mandatory)
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Floating: Must float within scope to meet facility needs; may float to sister facilities within 75 miles
- Charting System: Epic
Certifications - Required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Preferred: NRP
- Competency Testing: EKG/Dysrhythmia competency during compliance
OR Skills / Procedures Extensive experience in surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including but not limited to:
- Neuro, Ortho, Robotics, Liver Transplant
- Adult and pediatric general OR cases
- Laparoscopic and robotic surgeries (gynecologic, urologic, colorectal, thoracic)
- Trauma surgeries, amputations, fracture reductions
- Cardiac monitoring, conscious sedation, blood product administration
- Advanced procedures like Da Vinci Xi, Hana Table, XLIF, Whipple, Transplant robotic surgery
- Wound care, tracheostomy care, infection control, specimen handling
Note: Nurses must have foundational knowledge and practical skills in cardiac monitoring to pass EKG/Dysrhythmia competency.
Scheduling & Policies - Block scheduling: Not allowed
- Floating: Required within facility or sister facilities as needed
- Modules: Billable and non-billable, vary by specialty
Patient & Unit Details - Patient Age Groups: Pediatrics → Geriatrics
- Average Daily Census: 60 patients
- Beds/Rooms: 17 beds, 17 rooms
